to offer affordable services to authors ranging from a basic proofread to a
complete developmental edit and every stage in between, including formatting.
We offer a complimentary proofread done by another member of our team with all
editing services, and we have quick turnaround times for each round of edits.
We are currently
scheduling 2 months out, but we can accommodate last-minute additions depending
on the project. We always have room in our calendar for proofreading projects.

Editing Services
Offered
Developmental Editing with line edits. Focus on story structure, plot,
setting, character development, pacing, and voice. Clarifying meaning,
eliminating jargon, polishing language, and other non-mechanical line-by-line
editing.
This is sometimes called “hand-holding” or “big picture” editing. When
you are unsure of your story and worried about weaknesses in dialogue, pacing,
plot, structure, etc. and you want every line dissected for you, this is what
you need.
For line by line developmental editing, rates start at $3 per page but
vary depending on a project’s needs. For
an overall report or consult on a manuscript, which can be done in conjunction
with a copy edit, rates start at $75.
**You would still need copy editing and proofreading after a
developmental edit.
Copy Editing includes editing for errors in grammar, usage,
spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and other elements of style;
checking for consistency of mechanics and for internal consistency of facts or
continuity errors. If you are confident in your story and you don’t want major
content or structure changed, and you just want things “cleaned-up,” then this
is what you need. Rates start at $2 per page.
** A developmental consult
is available with copy edits, starting at $75.
Proofreading is exactly that. Checking proofs of edited
material for adherence to design and for minor, mechanical errors in copy; such
as spelling mistakes or deviations from the style sheet.
Rather than charge by the page, proofreading is
based on word count as follows:
Up to 50K words= $75
51K-75K= $85
75K-100K= $110
101K-125K= $135
125K+= $155
**There is no charge for
proofreading when combined with other editing services. We accept proofreading
projects that have been edited by other firms.
Things to Note:
A page is considered 250
words. (Example: 100K words ÷
250 = 400 pages)
Payment will be accepted
through PayPal.
Partial editing and
arrangements can be made for tight budgets.

referrals.
